Our Story

The restaurant “Palio Archontiko” started operating 25 years ago full of dreams and expectations but also anxiety about how the effort will develop. “Many years have passed since then, and yet it seems like only a few months have passed, time flies so quickly when you’re doing something you really love” says owner Vassilis Papadakis

Through these years we learned new things but we also made mistakes from which we learned and helped us become better both as professionals but above all as people, giving us strength and courage to continue doing what we really love. So, in the beautiful picturesque village of Kolymbari, next to the sea, in a beautifully landscaped area, we built the restaurant Palio Archontiko.

It is a family business, which with knowledge and passion has created a perfect environment, where one can enjoy his lunch and dinner.

The Interior of "Palio Arhontiko"

Its interior is literally its name itself, i.e. “Mansion”, but its exterior is also perfectly well-kept. Our cuisine is Cretan Greek, in other words “excellent” and the service is impeccable. Pure materials from the Cretan land.

Our purpose is to work with absolutely quality raw materials from local producers. To support the local market and give our customer tastes based on quality. At the same time, we choose only internationally recognized producers and micro-farms for quality import products

We try every year with the love we have for this job to give all of ourselves so that our guests who will come to our restaurant leave happy and have discovered the beauty of Cretan cuisine
